Somerset Medical Center is a nationally accredited, 355-bed regional medical center in Somerville, New Jersey, providing comprehensive emergency, medical/surgical and rehabilitative services.

The medical center is one of only seven percent of hospitals nationwide to achieve Magnet® recognition for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It has received national certification from the Joint Commission for total hip and total knee replacement surgery, stroke care and its acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) program.

It is also nationally recognized for its comprehensive cancer care, honored with the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center is named in honor of the Far Hills Race Meeting Association, which has donated more than $18 million to the medical center. The cancer center, which opened in 2007, offers state-of-the-art outpatient services, including radiation oncology, mammography, lung cancer screening, infusion therapy, access to clinical research studies, nutritional counseling, complementary medicine services and the Sanofi US Wellness Boutique.

In addition, Somerset Medical Center is one of the first community hospitals to offer robotic surgery, allowing surgeons to perform complex procedures, such as prostate, kidney, gynecological, abdominal and bariatric surgeries, in a minimally-invasive way.
