Somerset Health Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that solicits and administers funds on behalf of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset is a 355-bed acute care hospital in Somerville, providing comprehensive health care services to residents throughout Central New Jersey. It is nationally recognized as a Magnet® hospital for nursing excellence.

The hospital’s Steeplechase Cancer Center is designated as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer – a distinction achieved by only one in four hospitals nationwide that treats cancer patients. The cancer center, named in honor of the Far Hills Race Meeting Association, features the nationally-accredited Sanofi US Breast Care Program, radiation oncology, infusion therapy, clinical trials, complementary medicine services and the Sanofi US Wellness Boutique.

The Joint Surgery Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for total knee and total hip replacement surgery.

The hospital is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Its Edward and Anita Hogan Neuroscience Pavilion, which opened in 2012, offers comprehensive care to patients who suffer a stroke and other neurological disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and seizure disorders.
