Tens of Thousands Set to Return to Moorland Farm on October 17th for Heart-Pounding Steeplechase Racing, Elevated Race-Day Experiences and a Tradition That Benefits Regional Healthcare
The countdown is on to the 105th running of the Far Hills Race Meeting, where world-class steeplechase racing and exciting new race-day experiences will take over Moorland Farm on October 17. This year, racegoers can claim a spot in “The Knoll,” a new premium reserved tailgating area with larger spaces and exclusive amenities, and gear up through a Barstool Sports collaboration featuring exclusive hats, tees and hoodies. Debuting just in time for the 105th running of the Far Hills Race Meeting, the exclusive The Hunt x Barstool Sports collection celebrates the shared passion for horse racing, the social traditions of race day, and the charitable impact that has defined the event for generations. The 10-piece collection showcases iconic imagery from the event while embracing “The Hunt,” the legendary nickname generations of racegoers have bestowed on the annual tradition. After racegoers spotted Dave Portnoy wearing one of the collection’s pieces during a recent pizza review, the comments quickly started rolling in that the Far Hills Race Meeting later highlighted in a teaser reel. The collection will be available online beginning October 1 and at three merchandise locations throughout Moorland Farm on race day. These designs are going to move as fast as the horses, so racegoers will want to get theirs before they cross the finish line and sell out.”
Also new for the 105th of the Far Hills Race Meeting is The Knoll. Taking the tradition of tailgating at Moorland Farm to the next level, The Knoll offers racegoers a winning combination of more space and added convenience. At 20’ x 20’ the tailgate spots in The Knoll are twice the size of those in the infield and offer the easiest access in and out of the property. A Knoll-Holders Only area offers exclusive access to semi-private restrooms, a hay bale play area for children and tailgating games. What’s more, is that The Knoll is just a short walk from the food truck area and is priced the same as an infield reserved spot at $600, including four general admission tickets.
An event that is a year in the making, the Far Hills Race Meeting draws some of the world’s most skilled jockeys and horses which endure extensive training just for this moment and for the opportunity to compete for $825,000 in purses, which makes the event the most prestigious on the steeplechase circuit for 2026. New for 2026, racegoers will be able to wager on the races through NYRA Bets, which joins existing wagering partner 4NJBets, allowing guests to place bets directly from their phones throughout the day.
The Far Hills Race Meeting also offers “all-inclusive” opportunities, giving racegoers even more flexibility as to how they experience the race with friends and family, including The Hunt Club and The Chairman’s Tent.
Located on the backstretch of the infield, The Hunt Club offers guests 21 and over an unobstructed, front-row view of the race. Entertainment will be in full swing with music, lawn games, as well as a mechanical bull if guests are daring enough to go for a ride. The Hunt Club will feature tailgate-style food served by Frungillo Caterers and an open bar featuring Double Cross Vodka, the official vodka of the Far Hills Race Meeting. Guests will also have access to premium cigars provided by Mobile Cigar Lounge and expert betting guidance from America’s Best Racing.
For a more upscale, all-inclusive experience on race day, guests can choose The Chairman’s Tent, presented by Brown Advisory.Providing exclusive seating next to the iconic Race Tower at the finish line where trophy presentations take place, The Chairman’s Tent offers ticket holders a light breakfast, a premium upscale lunch and open bar. Vendor Village is also better than ever this year at the 105th running of the Far Hills Race Meeting. Over 30 vendors will be on site, such as, Hans Clothier, Kendra Scott of Short Hills, and ROOST +CO, offering an curated selection of merchandise, from jewelry to luxury outerwear, home goods, vintage and more. Then, for a quick bite, racegoers can head to the infield at Moorland Farm where a range of food trucks will be onsite, with options to please any palate. Whether it’s pizza, burgers, chicken or lobster, options are endless. Food trucks featured this year include:
